Fingerprint-Based Criminal Background Checks

Fingerprinting is conducted at the Regional Office of Education by appointment ONLY. Schedule your appointment below using the calendar.

If you are scheduling an appointment to be a SUBSTITUTE, you will need: 

• A valid, government-issued picture ID (such as a Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport) 
• Completed Criminal Background Check Release Form (OR faxed/emailed to our office by your employing district or company)
• Completed Sub Packet of information
• $60 background check fee if you are being fingerprinted by the ROE OR $27.00 payment for either of the other background check options
• Payment options include
• Check, cash, or credit or debit card paid at the ROE. An additional fee will be incurred if you choose to pay by credit or debit card.

If you are scheduling an appointment for employment at a SCHOOL DISTRICT, you will need: 

• A valid, government-issued picture ID (such as a Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport) 
• Completed Criminal Background Check Release Form (OR faxed/emailed to our office by your employing district or company)
• $60 background check fee unless your employing school district pays for the background check. We would need contact information for billing
• Self Payment options include
• Check, cash, or credit or debit card paid at the ROE. An additional fee will be incurred if you choose to pay by credit or debit card.

If you are scheduling an appointment for employment as a BUS DRIVER for a school district, you will need: 

• A valid, government-issued picture ID (such as a Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport) 
• Completed Criminal Background Check Release Form (OR faxed/emailed to our office by your employing district or company)
• $60 background check fee unless your employing school district pays for the background check. We would need contact information for billing
• Self Payment options include
• Check, cash, or credit or debit card paid at the ROE. An additional fee will be incurred if you choose to pay by credit or debit card.

If you are scheduling an appointment for SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION WORK, you will need: 

• A valid, government-issued picture ID (such as a Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport) 
• Completed Criminal Background Check Release Form (OR faxed/emailed to our office by your employing district or company)
• $70 per person background check fee
• Payment options include
• Check, cash, or credit or debit card paid at the ROE. An additional fee will be incurred if you choose to pay by credit or debit card.
