Principal Mentorship
ROE #8 offers an Administrator Support Program (ASP), designed to provide individualized support to building leaders. Meetings are scheduled on a frequency requested by the administrator and are held in-person, on-site. Topics of discussion are targeted to the needs of the building, but typically include: data analysis; current legal issues/requirements; ISBE updates; staff issues; student issues; discipline issues; and school improvement initiatives. Any other current topics/issues identified by the administrator are also discussed, as needed. ROE #8 staff who participate in the ASP are experienced building administrators who have also completed the coaching/mentoring training offered through the Illinois Principals Association.
