TRUST-BASED RELATIONSHIP INTERVENTION (TBRI)  (Spring 2023 Flyer)

This course will begin with an overview of TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention). TBRI ® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI ® uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles for attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors. While the intervention is based on years of attachment, sensory processing, and neuroscience research, the heartbeat of TBRI ® is connection. We will then each pick a student we are currently working with to apply strategies we learn. We will come together to discuss our findings and assess what we will do next. Teachers will actively engage with each other during class time but also be reflective as the week goes on and ready to apply tricks and techniques for connection!

  • Course Dates:  March 27 - May 1
  • Class Meetings:  March 27, 28; April 3, 10, 17, 24; May 1
